Dolly Dear Accessories....A New Book in Town!

Patty Cooper has done it again....this time with an absolutely wonderful book on the Dolly Dear accessories that collectors of vintage dollhouses love to add to their little houses to make them a complete home.

"Dolly Dear Dollhouse Accessories is the story of Rossie Turner Kirkland, a talented artist, living in a small Tennessee town, whose kitchen table business expanded during the Great Depression and World War II to sales in major department stores across the country. The tiny items she created were intended to complement dollhouse furniture sold by companies such as Schoenhut, Strombecker, Tynietoy, and Lynnfield. They are highly collectible and findable, but were difficult to identify until publication of this book which contains more than 350 examples, most in original package."

Rossie Kirkland provided accessories for every room of the dollhouse....and even items for the man of the dollhouse!

There are 188 pages in this amazing book profiling the history of Dolly Dear creator Rossie Kirkland and the wonderful dollhouse accessories she and her staff created from 1928 through 1961. All of these items are still being collected by those of us who love our vintage dollhouses.

Warning:  you will want one of every item you see in this book!

Dolly Dear Accessories can be found on Blurb.com along with Patty Cooper's other amazing and  informative resource books on vintage dollhouses. A list of her other resource books can be found in the upper right hand corner of this web page under Resource Books & Guides.

  2. Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. boat
