Looking for a home....with you!

This is Marion's childhood dollhouse, built with love by her father, and gifted to her for Christmas when she was about 8. It was her favorite toy and she played with it constantly. Marion has decided that it is time for some other little girl, or "big" girl, to be able to love and enjoy it like she has over the years.

It is solidly built of wood and on the large size....45" wide, 28" high and 18" deep. To me, it has a European influence similar to the dollhouses built in Germany in the late 1940s and early 50s. Marion shared that her father was born and grew up in Germany, so this lovely dollhouse does have German roots.

This house has six rooms and a staircase...living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bath, plus a rooftop patio and a small patio on the second floor. This lovely house  has recently been redecorated with new wallpaper, carpets or flooring,  and curtains. The furniture is optional, but can be purchased separately, complete or by room. Much of the furniture was produced in Germany during the 1940-60s.

The living room is large with room for several pieces of furniture in 1:12 or even 1:10 scale.  Notice the double entry doors behind the staircase. The door to the right opens to the kitchen.

This is a very spacious kitchen!

A dining room opens from the living room with a curved entrance. Marion has narrowed the opening with shelves in the living room....we all have used this idea in our dollhouses, haven't we!

Upstairs we find a master bedroom  with room for several pieces of furniture. Have you noticed the "crown molding" in the rooms of this dollhouse? It enhances the very attractive wallpaper and matching curtains Marion has created.

A second bedroom, with pink carpet and curtains, houses a bunkbed for two little girls....and plenty of room to play!

The last room on the second floor is the bathroom, with an opening from the master bedroom.  It's a spacious room with a "tile" floor and large enough for any dollhouse bathroom set.

This house comes unfurnished, however, you may purchase the entire contents or by individual room.

Marion prefers this dollhouse to be "pickup only" but is willing to check your shipping costs for UPS, FedEx or USPS. She is also willing to deliver it within a 50 mile radius of Melvillle, NY, on Long Island.
